Growing up there was always some kind of craft spread all over our kitchen table. Paint and paper seemed to be readily available for a brilliant, or sometimes not so brilliant, idea. On special occasions, we were encouraged to make gifts for each other with lots of love.
It was no surprise to my family when I graduated from USI with a degree in Fine Arts and a major in Graphic Design. From there I moved to Florida for a few years to enjoy the warmth and sunshine before exploring the United States and finding a home away from home in Washington State. After working as an Art Director for Where Magazine I started my own design firm, Insomniac Designs, specializing in developing presentations for last minute meetings and often visiting copy centers at 4 am.
That all changed after the birth of my daughter in 2006 when I found that 4 am was a better time for cuddling, lullabies and of course sleep! With a need for creativity, a lifelong love of glass and a fascination for the lively sparkle of dichroic glass, Fused Hope was soon established. I started Fused Hope by hand etching trees and flowers into glass and now I have developed a modern scanning technique to incorporate your own personal images into a beautiful glass keepsake. Each made with lots of love!
